SUSHI – Glossary
(jap. crumple) – the simplest way of sushi form. Rice ball covered with fish, seafood, Japanese omelette or a vegetables (2 pieces per portion)
(jap. roll up, wrap) – sushi made of a few ingredients wrapped with nori seaweed (6 pieces per portion)
(jap. thin, slim) – simple, one ingredient sushi roll (6 pieces per portion)
(jap. inversely) – multi ingredient sushi roll with rice on the outside (6 pieces per portion)
(jap. palm) – multi ingredient sushi in a form of a cone to eat by your hands (1 piece per portion)
(jap. hull) – seaweed “baskets” filled with any ingredient of your choice (2 pieces per portion)
(jap. raw) – exquisite dish consisting of raw fish and decoration, without rice. This sophisticated composition delights with its form and serves as a true feast for connoisseurs (from 5 to 35 pieces of fish per portion)
